Biodiversity Week 2026: Together we make biodiversity visible
Biodiversity Week 2026 has come to an end, and once again it proved to be a great success. Thousands of nature enthusiasts ventured outdoors to record plants, animals and other species using the ObsIdentify app. Thanks to the efforts of citizens, volunteers and partners across Belgium, valuable data were collected that contribute to a better understanding of our biodiversity.
The campaign once again demonstrates the strong public engagement for nature and biodiversity in Belgium. Every observation helps scientists, policymakers and nature managers gain a clearer picture of the state of biodiversity and supports future conservation efforts.
